Malaysia, Truly Asia...

It's been a hectic 3 weeks... Enjoyed my fun time in Jakarta... More stories about Jakarta in the next post... Today I write about Malaysia, Truly Asia... hehehe

Arrived on Oct. 1, staying with S and I at their flat in Mont Kiara... It's a ritzy, expat community outside the KL City... Nice condos and townhouses... Ala Rockwell... Their flat is in one of the older complexes but is very nice... Clean lines, not much furniture, but I like... S&I have a 22 month old boy, C. C has been the target of my camera the past week... I've taken hundreds of pics of him.... He is real cute... He calls me TOO TOO... He can't pronounce Tito kasi... hehehehe...

It's been a bit boring... I is a stay home mom, she does some consultancy work, so we are together most of the time... And since she has an upcoming deadline, she is mostly at home, trying to finish... Oh well... It's part of the vacation/adventure/escape I guess...

Malaysia is more western than Indonesia... More people speak English... The supermarket is to die for! hahaha... I can live here... No complaints...

I hope to see more of the city this weekend... It is Hari Raya, Idl Ftri, end of Ramadhan so it will be slow... We go out... happy family, daddy, mommy, baby boy, yaya and too too... hehehehe...

On with the adventure!

Fab Welcome!

My first 24 hours in Jakarta were so much fun! hehehe...

I arrived on before midnight and only got to my cousin's flat past 2am of saturday...

Morning and afternoon was spent orienting myself with the area... Went to the malls... Got groceries.... Lots of walking... But the action came in the evening...

I had scheduled a hook up with an indon guy i met online... when I told my cousin i was going to have dinner with a 'friend's friend'... this freaked her out... hehehe... she had planned to intoduce me to her pinoy friends... co-teachers... hehehe... i told her, they can wait... networking muna... hehehe...

I was apprehensive at first... but once i met them... it was FAB! We had dinner at the Melania Hotel Senayan, a big and fancy hotel here in Jakarta... food was so so... better in manila of course... then we headed to a birthday party of one of the guy's friends... Puti-Indon couple... Puti's bday... Puro potato queens ang nasa party! hehehe... then we went to Heaven.... The biggest gay club in Jakarta... It was the last weekend before Ramadan... so the whole gay community was out to celebrate before the 1 month fast... hehehe... Music was ok... Guys were so so... hehehe... Mas marami guapo sa manila... oh well... It was fun... we danced, drank, and a few guys even came up to me! Problem is, i dont speak Bahasa... feeling ko akala nila i was ignoring them... hehehe ... Pero masaya...

Got home at 3am! I was embarassed to wake up my cousin, but then again... Ok lang... Deadma.... hehehe...

Basta enjoy ako... Well... That was my first weekend... Hope to have more fun times with the gang soon...

I really didn't want to go... But I have to...

So with a heavy heart, I decided on Wednesday morning to leave... And since I decided already, well... I guess, I had to condition myself for the trip... Accept it, think positive and just let the Hand of God guide me on my adventure...

I wish I were leaving under better circumstances... But hey, it's a trip... And I just LOVE trips and travelling... And so, with an overpacked suitcase, my photography equipment, and Toyo my Mac, I am off!
